This notice explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on fieldgrid.cloud and in the fieldGRID portal. For how we handle personal data generally, see the Privacy notice.
1. What we use
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local and session storage for the same kind of purpose. We split them into necessary items, which the service needs to work and keep secure, and optional analytics.
2. Necessary
These are always on, because sign-in, security and your basic settings depend on them.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication (browser storage) | Keeps you signed in to the portal | Until you sign out |
| _GRECAPTCHA (google.com) | Bot and abuse protection for sign-in and our backend (Firebase App Check / reCAPTCHA) | Up to 6 months |
| fieldgrid.cookieConsent.v1 (browser storage) | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you change it |
| fieldgrid_theme, fieldgrid_layout_mode (browser storage) | Remember light/dark theme and portal layout | Until cleared |
| fieldgrid.preferredCompanyId (browser storage) | Remembers which company you last worked in (re-checked on every visit) | Until cleared |
| Payroll Prep notice (session storage) | Remembers that you acknowledged the confidentiality notice | Until the tab is closed |
3. Analytics (optional)
If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how pages are used, for example which pages are visited and how people find us. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to 2 years. Google Analytics is not loaded at all unless you accept.
4. Your choice
The first time you visit, we ask whether to allow analytics. “Only necessary” is as easy to choose as “Accept”, and refusing does not limit the service. You can change your choice at any time: . You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
5. Contact
