fieldGRID Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

fieldGRID is a mobile-first platform designed to help field teams capture geo-tagged photos, notes, and reports. The app is available in two modes: a free offline version for individual use, and a premium version for registered companies with cloud access.

2. What Data We Collect

For All Users:

• GPS Location: Used to stamp coordinates, accuracy, and address on photos.
• Device Storage Access: To save photos and notes locally on the device.
• Camera Access: To take photos within the app.
• Optional Notes: Text entered by the user alongside a photo.

For Premium Users (Companies):

• Company Login (email address)
• Uploaded Media: Photos, PDFs, notes, and metadata sent to company cloud storage.

We do not collect or access:

• Contacts
• Messages
• Background activity

3. How We Use the Data

Free Users: All data remains stored on the user’s device and is never transmitted.

Premium Users: Data is uploaded securely to the verified company's private Firebase cloud account.

Data is used solely for operational purposes and never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

4. Who Can See My Data

Only the authenticated company account (managers/admins) can access uploaded data. fieldGRID does not access or process the data beyond enabling cloud syncing.

5. Permissions Explained

• Location: Required to generate overlays and geotagged metadata on photos.
• Camera: Required to capture field photos.
• Storage: Required to save images, PDFs, and offline data locally.

6. Data Security

All cloud data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS (TLS). Firebase Authentication ensures that only verified company users can access company data.

7. GDPR / CCPA Compliance

fieldGRID supports user privacy rights. Company admins may request:

• Account deletion
• Export of stored data
• Removal of individual images or reports
